The stop valve is fitted using a casing (10) with an internal thread into which a drilling tool can be screwed by a turning tool. The drill-in fitting has a valve attachment consisting of a cap in which a spindle in bearings can be turned from the outside. The cap serves as an upper casing to be screwed onto the fitting, which itself serves as the lower casing. An adaptor is fitted between the fitting and the valve attachment. The adaptor cannot turn but can be shifted longitudinally to connect to the valve attachment spindle.
