A safety glass element, esp. for building facades, has a window frame (esp. metal), an assembly of glass panes, and a transparent metallic interlayer extending over the entire surface of the panes. The novelty is that the interlayer comprises at least two coatings (2, 3), the inner (3) being a continuous coating, and the outer (2) having perforations (4).
