A gaseous igniter which comprises an igniter body (2) having a gas sealed space, a nozzle (17g) fixed to an upper portion of this igniter body (2) and adapted to discharge a gas introduced from the gas sealed space, a gas passage provided in the igniter body (2) and connecting the gas sealed spaced to the nozzle for controlling a gas flowing through the gas passage, and an ignition mechanism adapted to ignite the gas discharged from the nozzle. The igniter body, gas discharge unit and nozzle are all formed out of a resin.
