The sole has a rolling area (5) which leads at the tip (11) of the sole to the height (2a) of the horizontal supporting surface of the innermost toe. On the top is a block of material (12) that starts at the tip of the sole and diminishes at the sides and back towards its top. The rolling area forms a convex arc at the front part (4) of the sole. The vertex is beneath the supporting area (9) of the bunion. The heel surface (7) is arched with the arc continuing into the back side (13) of the heel (6). The wear resistant sole cover (14) diminishes at the tip of the sole and the back of the heel. Its sides are sloped in these areas. A hole is in the top of the sole for a loop for supporting the innermost toe.
