Cooling circulation for vehicle combustion engine

A cooling medium cooler is provided between the inlet and outlet of the engine. The engine outlet is connected with the engine inlet by a short circuit having a control valve (15) so that the volume of the cooling medium is regulated. The cooling medium flows through the cooler and/or through the short circuit into a mixing chamber (17) of the control valve and back to the engine inlet. A parallel flow (23) is fed from the engine outlet in which at least one heat exchanger is provided which is associated with the vehicle heater. The parallel flow is fed back to the mixing chamber of the control valve.
