Cover panel for domestic appliances with core panel and plastic frame

Domestic appliances, partic. washing machines, washer-dryers or dishwashers, have a cover panel consisting of a core panel (1) with edge protection of at least the cut edges of the panel by a plastic section (5,6) pref. comprising two injection-moulded enclosed angle section frame parts, one part (5) having a limb (7) formed over the top (2) of the core panel. A flexing point (19,20) is located on the upper or lower side (3) of the limb. A second limb (8) extends parallel to the cut edges of the core panel. The inner frame part (6) has a limb (10) bearing on the underside of the core panel. Flexing points are pref. formed by redn. of cross sectional thickness of the angle section.
