FIELD: polymer production. SUBSTANCE: polyethyleneterephthalate components are removed by way of depolymerization of polyethyleneterephthalate including reesterification of material containing this polymer. This is achieved through interaction of material with ethanediol for a specified period of time at boiling temperature of ethanediol or at a temperature close to it. As a result, solution containing soluble short polymer chains and/or bis(hydroxyethyl) terephthalate is obtained, which is further processed to isolate said short-chain polymers and/or terephthalate and ethandiol. The ester compounds are finely hydrolyzed at elevated temperature for a specified period to produce ethandiol solution and terephthalic acid crystals. EFFECT: simplified process. |
