An immunosuppressant which comprises an antigen and antigen-treated B lymphocytes obtained by contacting B lymphocytes with a bound material, which is composed of liposomes having the antigen enclosed therein or adhered thereto or the antigen and a substance capable of binding to B lymphocytes, or a mixture of at least two of the same; a method for constructing an immunosuppressive animal which comprises introducing this immunosuppressant into the animal body; an immunosuppressive animal thus constructed; a method for treating or preventing diseases which comprises administering the above-mentioned immunosuppressant to human being; and the above-mentioned liposomes and bound material.
