Thermal binder for paper sheets

The thermal binder has a cylindrical housing with the binding slot (3) covered by a sliding cover (7) which also presses the stack against an alignment wall (5) using shaped grips (19,20). An electric heater (26) is located in the bottom of the slot. After binding, the stack is moved into a cooling slot (27) alongside the binding slot. The binding slot cover is spring-loaded (11) into the closed position. A finger grip groove (23) in the cover provides a simple grip while the grips for the stack have a hinged mounting to align on the stack.
