<p>A polarized electrical device (110) includes a first predetermined arrangement of terminal components (103, 104, 105) to assure proper connection to a printed circuit board (113) with a second, similar arrangement of mounting contacts (114). This assures a given circuit orientation of the electrical device to the printed circuit board and prevents catastrophic failure of the polarized electrical device. By means of the similar terminal component geometry and mounting contact geometry, a combination printed circuit board and electrical element can be assembled and tested to assure that only properly oriented electrical devices are attached to the printed circuit board.</p> |
