A housing (2) contains several coaxial deflector wheels (5) for printing strips (7). In any preset rotary position the printing types (9) on the strips form a row. The inside of the printing strip has extensions (8) fitting into cavities (14) on the deflector wheels. Between the cavities on the deflector wheels are at least five radial protuberances (12). At least three are fixed to the detent bar (11) joined to the housing, and at least one is locked into the detent bar. The detent bar is positioned on the side of the deflector wheel diametrically opposite the printing type in the printing position. The detent bar has a nut (13) running parallel along the rotating axle of the deflector wheels .
