The plate (3) has on its upper side (6) a vapour stop which is an aluminium foil laminated on the upper side of the plate or roll. The vapour stop can also be a fluidly applied, hardenable material. The plate or roll has a thickness of approximately 2 to 7 mm. The rear side (4) of the plate or roll is provided with cavities and/or raised formations. The cavities consist of V-shaped grooves (5) grid-fashion. The raised formation are knobs also arranged grid-fashion. The plate or roll is laid floatingly under a wooden parquet floor, wooden board floor, laminate floor or cork parquet floor (8). The rear side (4) of the plate or roll is adhered to the surface (2) of a foundation (1).
