The device has a self-expanding flexible boom (23) comprising an upper air-inflated section (24) and lower skirt (25) hauled ashore by a vertical axle winching device mounted on a base platform secured to the quay surface. The boom passes over a horizontal lead roller (11) and between guide bars (16,17). The bar is attached to a rod and lever (18,26) having a roller (20) heavily spring loaded (19) to squeeze air out of the incoming inflated boom. The complete unit (11,14-20,26) is detachably plugged into the base platform. A drive motor is similarly plugged in, and rotates the turntable and axle post by pinion gear. |
