<p>A robot whose articulation unit (24) is positioned repeatedly with high precision in a wide range and moved at high speed. First shaft guides are arranged in a first direction. Second shaft guides are arranged in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction. First shaft movement guides (16a, 16b) are arranged in parallel to the first shaft guides and movable along the second shaft guides. Second shaft movement guides (18a, 18b) are arranged in parallel to the second shaft guides and movable along the first shaft guides. A movable body (20) is movable on the first shaft movement guides (16a, 16b) and the second shaft movement guides (18a, 18b) in the first and second directions. A first drive mechanism moves the first shaft movement guides (16a, 16b). A second drive mechanism moves the second shaft movement guides (18a, 18b). The articulation unit (24) is turnably provided on the moving body (20), and comprises a plurality of arms (25, 26, 27), the ends of which are pivotally connected to each other.</p> |
