A truck for use on rough or rocky ground, e.g. a dump truck for use on construction sites is provided with an improved suspension comprising a forward rear axle (10) and a rearward rear axle (14), the forward and rearward rear axles each being connected by first and second rocker arms (19, 21) extending in a direction along the length of travel of the vehicle, the rocker arms being connected to the forward rear axle and rearward rear axle via a plurality of couplings (27, 29, 31, 33), each coupling comprising a substantially spherical member. The arrangement may allow the wheels to rock and pitch relative to the rest of the vehicle, and allow independent movement of each wheel, relative to each other wheel. This may allow the vehicle to travel readily over extremely rough terrain.
