NOVEL CATALYST FOR THE GAS-PHASE POLYMERISATION OF CONJUGATED DIENES

Catalysts consisting of: A) a rare earth alcoholate, a rare carboxylate and/or a complex compound of rare earths with diketones; B) an alumoxane; and C) an inert particulate inorganic solid with a specific area of more than 10 m<2>/g and a pore volume of 0.3 to 15 ml/g are especially suitable for the polymerisation of conjugated dienes, especially butadiene, in the gas phase.
