<p>Multi hearth furnace for the combustion of sludge from effluent treatment, of the type comprising pre-drying, combustion and cooling zones and having agitator arms carrying agitator teeth and off-set in the hearths of individual zones, with the improvement whereby the agitator teeth are so arranged on the agitator arms in the drying zone that almost the whole surface of the hearths is covered, while in the combustion zone only circular annular surfaces of the hearths are covered.</p> |
