<p>An article (10) has a fastening system (40) connected thereto, and the fastening system includes a panel member (56) which is composed of a panel material. The panel member has first and second, opposed major facing surfaces (50, 52), an appointed inboard region (54) and an appointed outboard region (58) which includes a terminal outboard edge (60) thereof. A reinforcement strip (88) is composed of a reinforcement material, and is laminated to the first surface (50) of the side panel (56) at the outboard region (58) of the side panel. The reinforcement strip has a terminal outboard edge (90) thereof which is coterminous with the outboard edge (60) of the panel member (56). A fastener tab is laminated to the second surface (52) of the side panel (56), and has a user-bond region (38) thereof which extends from the panel member (56). The fastener tab (36) includes first and second, opposed major surfaces (76, 78) and includes a securing means (44) located on at least one of the major surfaces (76, 78) of the fastener tab (36).</p> |
