An appts. for cleaning a conveyer belt in a paper mfg. machine, e.g. dry or wet, wire or felt belts with at least one nozzle directed at the belt to apply a gaseous or fluid medium against it. A suction chamber (18) is provided to work in conjunction with the nozzle (8) so that dirt, mist or residual water loosened from the belt (4) by the jet (27) from the nozzle is sucked into the chamber and removed. Also claimed is a cleaning appts. where the active part is a source of ultrasound or laser light.
