The seal consists of a fixing section (2) which grips the body component and an adjacent tubular element (5) which is elastically deformable and cooperates with a moving component, such as a door, bonnet or boot lid. The tubular element (5) comprises an external envelope (12), the inner volume of which is at least partially filled with a cellular material of low density and a high level of retention, e.g. polyurethane. The external envelope is made from a compact material such as rubber. The envelope of the tubular element (5) is made by extrusion, with the cellular material injected inside it, or the outer envelope can be moulded over a cord of cellular material.
