Concasting roll

Concasting roll consists of an outer drum (1) made of good thermal conductive material with internal grooves (12) and an inner drum (11) divided into cooling chambers (A, B). The water enters the system via axial channel (13) and passes into chamber (A) via exit (14). It leaves the chamber via (14a) and flows around a series of grooves both in a clockwise and anti-clockwise direction before leaving via (15) which is located diametrically opposite exit (14a). from this chamber the water passes through channel (16) into the next chamber (b) where it flows in a similar fashion through exit (H) and collection exit (H').
