Method for dehydrating a product quantity initially having solid form or being present as a suspension or a solution, where in a first step the product quantity is transformed into a quantity existing of single particles, granules, slices, pieces, bits or such in a second step by which the product quantity is dehydrated by removing liquid from the product quantity and its surroundings.
