The valve has a sealing component (9), which swings on a shaft, and which works in conjunction with a seat in a channel in a valve housing (1). The shaft penetrates through the wall of the housing, and is connected to external operating equipment. The equipment has a spring (23) which moves on a linear path normal to the shaft axis (17). An external pivoting arm (18) is arranged on the shaft, and is normal to the axis. One end of the spring is mounted on a bearing (20), and the other end is connected to a carrier (22) on the end of the arm which is furthest from the shaft. When the valve is closed, an imaginary line through the bearing and the carrier is offset from the shaft axis in the direction of the closing motion. When the valve is open, the line may be offset (26) in the opening direction. |
