The antenna includes an antenna rod (1) which is attached to a metallic spring section (3). The spring structure is attached to an antenna support (2) which has a threaded section (10) for attachment to a vehicle body and a positioning push fit spigot (9). The antenna spring section and the support section are both covered by a flexible plastic sleeve (4) which extends to the plane (5) in contact with the vehicle body.
