Captive screw for assembly of two pieces

The assembly system comprises a cartridge (14) having two opposite walls (16,18) passed through by aligned holes (24,26). Curved leaf springs immobilise the cartridge relative to a first piece (A). A screw (12) housed in the cartridge has its head (30) supported against one of the walls (16) opposite one of the aligned holes (24). Its threaded part is engaged in the second hole. A compression spring (34) mounted on the screw, between the head and the second wall (18) normally holds the screw head supported against the first wall. Washers (36,38) transmit clamping forces through which the screw head is supported against the second wall after a limited compression of the spring. The hole (24) centralises the screw head along the first hole axis.
