Vacuum concentrator for liquids carrying suspended or dissolved solids

Vacuum concentrator comprises an evaporator (3) contg. the liq. (1) to be conc. and connected upstream to a compressor (4) opening downstream into a condenser (7) immersed inside the evaporator. The distillate (8) is condensed in the condenser before it is stored in a tank (10). The concentrator is of the type where the liq. is heated before starting it by the compressor using a recirculation valve (12) opening a recirculation line (11) connecting the inlet to the outlet of the compressor. The system includes an injection pump (13) which pumps the distillate in the tank and injects it under pressure upstream of the compressor via an atomiser (14).
