The fastening consists of a body (16) carried by a base (17) with a thrust plate extension (30) to support one end of the boot sole. The base is mounted movably on a plate (18) fixed to the ski by means of a horizontal transverse hinge, while a lock (46) holds it in place. A stop (28) which is fixed solidly to the ski limits the upward movement of the base (17), and the lock fixes the base in relation to the stop. The lock has a mobile active component which can engage with or disengage from the base, and is actuated by a screw with an eccentric rib.
