PURPOSE: To provide an information processing system where a maintenance operator can change the area of a memory which performs a log-out operation of a processor through a diagnostic device without correcting the coding of a diagnostic program when the processor has a fault in the system. CONSTITUTION: When at least one of processors 14-1 to 14-N has a fault, a fault information reception part 6 and a log-out information collection part 3 of a diagnostic device 1 operate to perform a log-out operation of the data stored in a memory 16 of the faulty processor to a log-out information store area 2 based on the address table 4 contained in an internal storage device 5. A log-out control part 9 of a service processor 8 stores the data in a magnetic disk 11. When the log-out area is changed, a maintenance operator changes the table 4 through an input/output device 13 and via the processor 8. |
