<p>A method and an apparatus for preparation of household waste before final composting, wherein the waste is disintegrated and compressed in a treatment shaft by forcing the waste past disintegrating knives with the aid of scissors knives arranged on a driven piston, whereby the disintegrating knives are arranged with a mutual spacing which determines the disintegrating rate and whereby the scissors knives are arranged on the piston so that they fit into said spacings.</p> |
