IMAGE PROCESSING SYSTEM AND IMAGE PROCESSING METHOD

An image processing system which takes an image of a machine whose motion is controlled by control information, and processes the image. The system has a control information collecting means for obtaining the control information, and a setting means for determnining setting conditions concerning the image processing on the basis of the control information taken by the collecting means. Since the image processing conditions corresponding to the condition of an object to be recognized and background are set by determining the brightness, saturation, hue and visible portions of the object and background and the variation of the background by using control information obtained from a machine, such as a plant, the recognition accuracy is improved, and the recognition processing is simplified.
