A screen cleaning means for use with a vibrating screen (11) comprising a plurality of flexible elongate members (15) which are each supported at one end in the region of the upper end portion of the screen (11), the flexible elongate members (15) being located at spaced intervals across the screen (11) and being mounted to extend downwardly over the surface of the screen (11) for at least a portion of the length of the screen (11), and where the flexible elongate members (15) are provided along their length with a linear discontinuous surface to provide spaced portions of reduced surface area which will impact on the screen deck (12) with vibration of the screen deck (12).
