The present invention relates to a herbicidal composition comprising glyphosate herbicide and a quaternary ammonium surfactant having formula (I), wherein R1 is a C1-C5 alkyl radical; R2 is a C1-C5 alkyl radical, or a group R4-O-(PO)u-(EO)v-H, R4 being a C1-C5 alkylene group; R3 is C1-C5 alkyl radical, or a group R5-O-(PO)w-(EO)z-H, R5 being a C1-C5 alkylene group; R7 being CH-O-(PO)x'n-(EO)y'n-H; n being an integer of from 1-4; X = x+x'n+u+w being from 15-35; y = y+y'n+v+z being from 0-15; x'n meaning the sum of the propylene oxide radicals of (R7)n; y'n meaning the sum of the ethylene oxide radicals of (R7)n; each x, x', u, w, y, y', v, z being an integer; and X- is an agriculturally acceptable anion.
