The device uses a belt of absorbent material (1) with a melting point above the working temperature of the electronic copier fixing drum. One side of the belt is coated with a separating medium (9). It is brought into contact with the rotating fixer drum. The belt of material is a combination of foil impervious to the separating medium, and a layer of fleecy material (1) bonded to the foil. The belt is driven by a motor to pass from a supply roll to a used roll.
