<p>A toilet cover assembly comprising a seat (1) and a cover (2) interconnected at their rearmost edges by means of at least one hinge (5). The hinge comprises two hinge members (6, 6') each provided with a bearing portion (9, 9') and pivotally connected with a horizontal shaft (10). The seat hinge member (6') is secured to the rearmost edge face (40) of the seat (1) by means of a fastening portion (8'). The cover hinge member (6) is secured to the lower face (7) of the cover (2) by means of a fastening portion (8). The fastening portions (8, 8') of each hinge member (6, 6') extend essentially parallel to their respective bearing portions (9, 9') and extend beyond one end of the portions by a projecting part (26, 26'). The projecting parts (26, 26') of the fastening portions (8, 8') of each hinge member (6, 6') are of a width and a length respectively essentially not exceeding the width and the length respectively, of the bearing portions (9, 9') of the other hinge members (6,6').</p> |
