<p>The invention discloses a road scarifying machine (1; 10) for the removal of road surfacings comprising a frame (2) mounted on wheels (3) which supports a milling drum (6) put into contact with the road surfacing (9) to be removed and supported by a driving shaft (7) connected to said frame (2) and driven into rotation by rotating means. Said milling drum (6) is composed of a plurality of modular annular elements (61), facing one another in tight succession one after the other and co-axially coupled over said driving shaft (7).
