In a homokinetic universal joint an outer ring 1 has three axial track grooves 1a for respective outer rollers 4 which are mounted via inner rollers 3 on respective trunnions 2a of a tripod member 2. The outer surfaces 3b, 4b of the inner and outer rollers 3, 4 are part-spherical and the inner surfaces 4a of the outer rollers 4 are such as to direct a load component parallel to the axis of each trunnion 2a. The inner surfaces 4a of the outer rollers 4 may be tapering or convex or concave. |
