A freeze-moulding process (A) is claimed, comprising (a) mixing polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) or a modified additive thereof with a slip, (b) pouring the mixt. into casting mould, and (c) subjecting the mixt. to at least one cooling/heating cycle to obtain a moulding. Also claimed is a freeze-moulding process (A'), comprising (a') filling a casting mould with a mixt. of ceramic powder and PVA soln. as dispersion medium, (b') freezing and hardening the mixt., (c') heating the freeze-moulded prod. to convert its surface into an agglutination gel and (d') demoulding the prod.
