PURPOSE:To enhance the operating efficiency of a machine and to perform labor saving by eliminating the re-passage of paper or the generation of spoilage, by detecting the lead of a primary belt while stopping a secondary belt at a stand-by position and starting the running of the secondary belt after said lead coincides with the phase of the hole of the secondary belt. CONSTITUTION:A sensor 32 detects the slot 9' of a secondary belt 1' to transmit a pulse 34 and, when a stop order is emitted, the slot 9' of the secondary belt 1' is stopped at a point B, that is, a stand-by point by the rising signal of the pulse 34 immediately after said order. Next, when the lead 10 provided to a primary belt 1 running at a constant speed approaches a point A, a sensor 31 present at a distance S from the point A on the side of the primary belt 1 detects the lead 10 to emit a pulse 33 and the secondary belt 1 begins to start the point of time when the lead 10 coincides with the position of the slot 9' of the secondary belt 1. Therefore, when the lead 10 reaches in the vicinity of the point A, the grasping of the primary belt 1 is altered to that of the secondary belt 1' by re-grasping devices 14, 14'. |
