Combined insulation stripper and contact bush crimping device for electrical wires

The mechanical process allows the insulation to be removed from the ends of electrical wires and contact bushes to be crimped in position on the tips of the wires. The machine has a clamping stage (99,100) that grips the wire while cutting blades are moved to cut through the insulation. A stripping tool is moved axially to remove the insulation and a feed unit pushes a contact bush onto the end. A crimping tool is then operated. The mechanism has an electrical drive (9) coupled through a transmission (11,8) to a number of cams (81,59,71,27) that provide the different motions.
