An apparatus is disclosed suitable for presenting a container (10) at a labeling station where the container is oriented before, during or after the time a label is affixed to the container. The apparatus includes a turntable (14) that is rotatable about a fixed axis (24). A turret (18) is provided on the turntable for rotation about a turret axis (30) substantially parallel to the fixed axis. The turret is adapted to receive a container. A cam follower carriage (79) is mounted to the turntable for reciprocal movement along the turret axis and is operatively engaged with the turret for rotating the turret when reciprocated. Reciprocal movement is imparted to the carriage by a lower cam (56).
