PVC drainage or ventilation hose for installation in motor vehicle

Hose installed in motor vehicle body for drainage or ventilation is of PVC or similar thermoplastic and has thin-wall fins (12) co-extruded with the hose body (11), to which they are fuse-bonded. The flexible fins, which consists of chlorinated polyethylene each form a convex section spanning the hose wall and enclosing a number of cavities (H) formed by foam cell walls (Z), the concave face of the section being bonded to the periphery (U) of the hose. Pref. the circumference of the hose is covered by fins packed closely together. Peripheral angle of each fin is pref. 65-70 deg C.
