With the safety belt in the closed state an inclined shoulder belt section runs over the front side of the back rest and a hip belt section runs over the seating surface of the seat cushion. A suspension hook (22) is located in front of the seating surface (111) on the front side of the cushion (11) turned away from the back rest (13). On the hook is suspended the hip belt section (152) of the safety belt (15) drawn angularly over the seating surface. The suspension hook is arranged centrally to the seating surface of the seat cushion, underneath the cushion on a cushion shell, on a seat under-frame (12), or on the vehicle floor, and can be fixed pivotably, foldably or insertably.
