A rapid method of and diagnostic kit for the detection of microorganisms

A method and diagnostic kit for rapidly detecting the presence of a microorganism in any given sample is provided. More particularly, a method and diagnostic kit for rapidly detecting the presence of a microorganism in a urine sample for diagnosing urinary tract infection is provided. Methods and kits for determining antibiotic sensitivity, total cell count and the identification of a microorganism in a given sample are also provided.
