The control procedure involves a gambling machine having a central control unit, randomly-controlled result displays and credit stores with associated displays for stake money and winnings. There is a display table for playoffs and risk games, at least two jackpots, which can also be displayed, and a control board with buttons to control the course of the game. The release of the second jackpot is inhibited by the central control unit until the first jackpot has been released. The second jackpot is allocated a greater number, or more frequent random results for each incrementation or payout than is the case for the first jackpot.
