The packs are clamped at their bottom end as against the surfaces formed by the sections of the spring layers at the free end which combine with the top clamping (3) face (3.1) to form a clamping gap so that in the clamping position, the spring section faces make direct contact with the spring face in the absence of an inserted printing plate. The layers of the spring packs produce clamping force used to clamp the plate in place, the angle of inclination of this line to exceed the bending angle. Adjusters (10) designed as inflatable sleeve (11) act on the spring packs in the centre of both faces of the pack so that the packs are loaded with a horizontal bending force by the sleeve and as a result moved into a plate-change setting, followed by re-set under inherent tension.
