PURPOSE: To prevent a contact from being damaged by selectively controlling a first semiconductor switch and a second semiconductor switch into an off-state during a predetermined period put between the series and parallel changeover periods of a battery block to cut off electrification to a series and parallel changeover switch during the changeover period of an output voltage to an inverter. CONSTITUTION: A battery block is selectively changed over by a series and parallel changeover switch circuit 5 for selectively connecting the negative terminal of a battery block 1 through a parallel-off switch circuit 3 to either one of the negative terminal of a battery block 2 through a parallel-off switch circuit 4 or the positive terminal of the battery block 2. Therefore, the separation processing of the battery block is performed by controlling the parallel-off switch circuit with respect to the separated battery block into an off-state when the output current of the separated battery block is nearly zero. Accordingly, in the separation processing of the battery block, the contact of the parallel- off switch circuit is not damaged. |
