Reagent system for the differential counting of leukocyte populations in blood samples which is made up of a diluent isotonic composition, based on procaine, A.D.A., dimethylurea, NaOH, sodium sulphate, EDTA sodium, sodium chloride and dioxane derivatives, and a composition lysing erythrocytes and platelets in said sample, based on quaternary ammonium salts, potassium cyanide and soda, which allows differential counting of the populations of lymphocytes, granulocytes and monocytes, as well as quantitative determination of erythrocytic haemoglobin in the sample analysed, thus being widely applicable in the biochemical analysis and diagnosis of abnormalities in blood leukocyte populations, both in form and in number.
