<p>PURPOSE: To provide a high frequency induction hardening apparatus, in which a work does not become the supercooling condition with cooling liquid dropped along the surface of the work and particularly, the supercooling of the lower end part thereof is prevented. CONSTITUTION: This hardening apparatus is provided with a heating coil 100 for heating the work W vertically supported, a cooling mechanism 200 for jetting the cooling liquid L to the part heated with the heating coil 100, a jetting jacket 300 for jetting gas F for removing the cooling liquid toward the lower end part W2 of the work W and a shifting mechanism for synchronously shifting the work W and the jetting jacket 300 in the direction along the shaft center W1 of the work W. The gas F for removing the cooling liquid is used to blow off the cooling liquid L flowing down along the work W before reaching the lower end part W2 of the work W.</p> |
