<p>PURPOSE: To obtain the combination battery, which can quickly discharge the emitted gas of battery cells. CONSTITUTION: Each battery cell 3 is electrically connected to each other, and a power source line is led out from terminals of both ends through holes 9 formed in a casing 4. A holding member 1 provided with holes for transmitting the emitted gas of the battery cell and the cool air is fitted to the lower part of the battery cells 3. A foil 2 having a hole similar with the holding member 1 is inserted into the holding member 1, and the foil 2 is connected to a stopper 7 through a spring 6, and energized right. This movement is controlled by an electromagnetic switch 8. When emission of the gas is detected by a pressure sensor 13, a controller 14 outputs the driving current to a solenoid of the electromagnetic switch 8, and the foil 2 is moved right so as to cut the cooling passage 5, allowing the emission of the gas. The emitted gas of the battery cells can be discharged outside without a contact with the battery cells.</p> |
