TERMINAL CONNECTION OR TERMINAL PROCESSING STRUCTURE FOR HIGH-TENSION BYPASS CABLE

PURPOSE: To prevent the decline in insulation resistance due to water and maintain high resistance and thereby make it possible to check the voltage even in the rain by using material which has an excellent water repellency or surface wet-proof property for an insulator wherein an electrode is buried, in a direct- couple cable terminal connection. CONSTITUTION: A terminal connection or terminal processing structure has a protective case 1 which has a circular cross section. To the end of it, a cap nut 11 for connecting a terminal is installed. Inside the protective case 1, a conductor 2 is placed. An inner semiconductor layer 3 is placed round the conductor 2 and an insulating layer 4 is placed in the stacked state around the semiconductor layer 3. Around the insulating layer 4, an insulator layer 5 is placed. At four places in the insulator layer 5, electrodes for detecting voltage 6 are buried and a contact 60 is placed at the top of each electrode. The outer surface of the insulator layer 5 is covered with an airtight cover 7. A window hole 70 is formed in the airtight cover 7 and the electrode for checking the voltage 6 is exposed through the window hole. A section shown by 12 is a cover for the electrode for a voltage check terminal 6.
